Two medical doctors are recommended because if the Chief Medical Officer (MD or DO) has to attend to a fighter who has just been in a bout either in ringside or in the locker room, BOUTS may not be conducted until he/she is back in ringside.

Once again: To avoid downtime, it is highly recommended that two physicians attend even if one must leave the side of the loop, the event may continue.

During an -sanctioned event, physician(s) should always sit near a set of ring entry stairs where they can reach the arena quickly and easily.

The competition in the ring may not occur if the doctor is not present at the front row in the ring.

They must be prepared to assist in the event of any serious emergency, and they must provide temporary or emergency care for minor wounds and injuries to any combatant.

A Ringside licensed doctor may not leave the arena until all fighters have been checked after their bouts and approval has been confirmed.

At least 1 paramedic and 1 EMT

There will be at least one licensed Paramedic and one licensed EMT in attendance at the ringside event while the competition is taking place in the ring. KO

hese paramedics/EMT team will be at the facility, at the side of the track, all equipment needed to treat and/or transport an injured athlete, including:

oxygen supply

Back panel – stretcher

neck collar

resuscitation equipment

They shall be prepared to assist the physician in the event of any serious emergency, and shall provide temporary or emergency care for minor wounds and injuries to any combatant at the physicians’ request and direction.

All paramedics must remain on the premises at all times and until all combatants have been checked after their shifts and approval has been confirmed.

Ambulance

There will be an ambulance (mo
